The Cupcake Addict might be becoming The Cupcake Snob. I think my cupcake expectations might be becoming a bit unrealistic. I’m also pondering changing my rating scale from a max of 4 hearts to a max of 5 hearts. Hmmmm……

Well what brought this on?

Most recent couple of cupcakes:
1. The person I’m dining with thinks they have a great cupcake and I think they are just “okay”. Probably since I have had a few AMAZING cupcakes, others seem to pale in comparison lately.
2. It takes an hour on the treadmill to burn off one of these little critters. It needs to be worth it!
3. If I am paying for a dessert, it should be better than I can make myself.

Well remember you’re bringing cupcakes to the unenlightened masses: one of which I am a mass of. So be a snob. Save me from Sugar and their weird cupcakes. Make me long for a cupcake that dares to be bold and original.
Educate us! Illuminate us! And remember: your hips are a small sacrifice for the world. (well, maybe not that small anymore…)

What’s with the ubiquity of cupcakes, all of a sudden? Especially in snoburbia, the overclass suburbs. I mean, seriously, they are just little cakes!

I like cupcakes because they are “little cakes”. I don’t want to take a huge cake home for 2 people. Also, I like baking, so the excess tends to go to work with me the next day….cupcakes don’t need a plate and fork. Much easier to eat a cupcake than a cake or pie.
