You’ll forgive me for the lack of information in this post. We went to the Issaquah Salmon Days festival with our friends, the Chens. We stopped off at Confetti Cupcakes in downtown Issaquah while we were wandering among the stalls.
There was a nice display outside…
Most of the flavors were pretty usual, but they also had Snowball…
and pumpkin spice….
and whatever this was….Very cute flower on top…
As I said in an earlier post…I’ve been busy…I didn’t write anything down about these. I don’t remember much. The Chens took the pink one and we had the pumpkin spice. It seems like it was a little underdone, but tasty. I’ll try to do better in the future. At least I didn’t delete the photos….
I think I’m caught up now…
We’re going to Portland again soon. I’ll take good notes….

So this isn’t REALLY a cupcake, but what is a cupcake, really? Isn’t it just a little cake.
I absolutely LOVE Bakery Nouveau in West Seattle. Mr Shuck, his parents and I stopped by for a little treat after shopping at the West Seattle Farmers’ Market. The in-laws got scones and Danish (boring). I got this amazing little Snowball cake, described on their website as follows: “Our rich vanilla cake, layered with coconut cream and milk chocolate crémeux.”

This is an amazing cake: extremely moist and soft cake layers (probably explains why it’s a little wonkey), sweet and rich chocolate filling in the middle, nice coconut flavor. Mr Shuck and I both loved it. Rating: ♥♥♥♥
